Timothy (Ty) Lee Smith, Jr. received his B.A. Degree in Political Science with minors in History and Business, cum laude, from Auburn University in 2015. After completion of his undergraduate studies, he was offered and accepted a Merit Scholarship to attend the Cumberland School of Law. During his time as a law student, he served as Vice President of the Christian Legal Society. He graduated from the Cumberland School of Law in May of 2019 with a Juris Doctorate Degree.

After completion of his undergraduate and graduate school studies, he worked for Wilmer and Lee P.A., which is a law firm that is based in Huntsville, Alabama. During the time that he worked at the law firm, he provided legal services to clients who were in need. He is currently a licensed member in good standing with the Alabama State Bar Association.

In October of 2020, he decided to leave Wilmer and Lee P.A. to pursue a career in the financial services business with Tim Smith & Associates. He is currently a licensed life and accident insurance agent in the states of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. He also has a series 65 license and has passed the securities industries essentials exam permitting him to provide investment advice to clients.

During his free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing. He also is an avid sports fan. He enjoys watching any sport that involves Auburn Athletics. He loves to travel and explore different places. He particularly enjoys spending free time at the beach and in the mountains.
