Tim Smith, CEO and owner of Tim Smith & Associates began his career selling insurance at the age of 19. Over the last forty-five years, he has developed many strategic partnerships throughout the life insurance and financial services industry. Tim takes great pride in being one of the founding members of First Financial Resources, LLC (FFR). FFR has grown from around eighty members to more than two hundred members, who are considered the top financial advisors in the world. From humble beginnings, Tim Smith is now the CEO of a diverse group of businesses, which includes Tim Smith & Associates Insurance, Inc., Southwind Risk Retention Group, Inc., SP RE Inc., and finally one of the premier hunting destinations in the country in Southwind Plantation. Southwind Plantation is known as the South’s Premier Hunting Destination. Southwind invites guests to come and experience the ultimate outdoor adventure. Southwind Plantation is one of only a select few Orvis Endorsed Wing-Shooting Lodges in the United States. Tim Smith has been and continues to be very active in the local surrounding communities. He sits on several executive boards. He is a firm believer in giving back to the community through charitable organizations, he has and continues to work hard to bring industries and businesses to Southwest Georgia. Tim is married to Carla Smith, and he has three children, Timothy Lee Smith, Jr., Ashley Morgan Snider, Ryals Chambliss Smith, and one grandson Douglas William Snider, III (Tripp).
